I'm going crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!! I took this week off from work and I don't know if it was a good idea. With doing an honest taper and not hardly running there is way too much time on my hands. Sorry Olga, I'm only running twice this week and only a few miles.

Looks like the oven is going to be turned on for States. The weather report I checked said it was going to be 101 degrees in Auburn. I wonder what the canyons will have in store for us? Might have to throw the time goals out the window if it starts to bake me. Have to keep in mind the first goal and finish you know.

It is going to be fun to "watch" all the NW runners. After watching Sean and Jeff rock Bighorn we will have to feed off their efforts.

I don't know what Kyly has planned for me but we are going to have a blast. Just want to have "legs" when I see her at Foresthill. Then she has to get me down to the river to see Clem again and push me to the finish. I hope she has been practicing running "stealth". Just kidding, I'll keep the lights on. I'm no top 10 competitor.

No Kyly, I won't be "dropping" you are even "gap" you. I'll leave that up to the elite. Just get me to Auburn!

Well I just got my fat content tested. I did this just after the lottery in December to see if I could make an improvement. December it was 25.1% and today it was 17.2%. Yes, that is still fat for a runner but a good improvement I figure. Plus, I have 25.26 lbs of the gigly stuff to fuel me to the finish at States. Sorry John, you are just going to have to eat more than me.

Just logged 1900 miles yesturday when this all started January 3rd. Pretty cool, I have never kept track of my mileage. Hopefully I will have just over 2000 by June 25th!

Had a wonderful weekend. Met Lewis who was up in Portland for the day. Ran with him for an hour and a half before meeting up with Kyly and Rick. I know we were going pretty slow for Lewis but it was good to talk. He is pacing Craig from Foresthill to the river before my brother takes over. He is going to have a blast.

Sunday ran with Kyly on Hamilton Mountain. This is the first time I have been in the Gorge. Now I see why everybody goes here. What a great place! Took tons of pictures. Now I just have to figure out how to post some here.

Just 11 days until States. Just running every other day right now and only running once this weekend. Looking forward to the event. I have prepared the best I could. 10 weeks of 100+ miles with three of 90+ and three of 70+ mixed in between. Had some great races along the way with PR's in two and not tapering for a single one. Ran them hard but never taking a day off before or after the race.

It was good to see Olga and Gail on the trail Saturday also. You can tell that we were pretty excited about States. We talked about the big guns and who is injured and who is going to be in the mix. Meghan should be there. Kami if she is feeling well. I hope her injury is gone. Olga says she isn't in the top 10, we will have to see Olga, you are super strong. Ronda is always strong. She will do great. Stacy will be right there with her, she is like a rock also. Kristen and Eve are fast, they will be fun to watch also.

I'll be pulling for Craig and John. John has been doing monster miles forever. Craig is just super strong always. Jason Moyer will be getting after it I am sure. The NW gang will be fun to watch. It is going to be great. I am looking forward to it.

Well, I am starting to taper a bit I guess. No more "doubles." Only running once a day now. Nice. I have more time on my hands like making sure I get to eat that bowl of ice cream.
